When is Home Health Services Appropriate?
AW Home Health encompasses a wide range of medical services delivered in an
individual’s home. Care is typically initiated following a hospitalization or
short-term stay in a rehabilitation facility. Your physician can also prescribe
home health care if there is an recent change in health status or exacerbation
of an existing condition.
What are the available services?
Intermittent visits involve a nurse or therapist coming to your home to perform
clinical procedures or to guide you through a therapy session.
What areas these services are offered?
AW Home Health services patients in the St. Louis metropolitan area (City and
Counties), the Missouri counties of St. Charles and St. Peters, and the
Illinois counties of Madison, Macoupin, St. Clair and Bond.
Who is qualified for the services?
To qualify for Home Health visits you must be homebound, meaning it takes a
taxing effort to leave the house. If absences are infrequent and of short
duration a recipient may still be considered homebound.
Are the services covered by my insurance?
In most cases, Home Health services are covered 100% by Medicare and some
insurance plans. AW Health Care is Medicare certified and has contracts with
UHC/Medicare Complete.
