AW Health Care has an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Coder for our University Office. This position may work remote or in the office as needed.
Candidates will have:
- An understanding of ICD-10 CM and CPT coding.
- The ability to work with various computer programs and databases.
- The ability to analyze various factors to make determinations about computer codes, direction and time restrictions, agency processes, policies and programs related to OASIS coding and assessments.
- An understanding of regulatory compliance for healthcare organizations.
- A basic knowledge regarding the requirements of Conditions of Participation related to the Home Health OASIS assessment coding.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Certified Coder Specialist preferred
- Maintain coding certification and attends in-service training as required
- Two (2) years of ICD-10 CM coding experience, Home Health preferred
- Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
